"You submit your offer to book the premises subject to the follwing terms and conditions - please read carefully:"
1. In order to book a holiday at the Chalet you will need to:
(a) Complete a booking form and return it to us via e-mail at either juliet.lock1@btinternet.com;
(b) Pay a non-refundable deposit of 25% of the total cost of your holiday into a stated bank account.
2. On receipt of the booking form and deposit, we will send you confirmation of your booking along with details for the payment of the balance and the bond.
3. The booking is not accepted and no contract will exist until the date shown on the confirmation notice.
4. The balance is due 6 weeks prior to your arrival date, along with a 25% bond.
5. If you make your booking less than 6 weeks prior to your arrival date, the balance must be paid in full at the time of booking. If you do not pay the balance by the due date, we reserve the right to immediately cancel the booking without prior notice to you.
6. The bond must be paid when the balance is paid and will be refunded in full to you following an inspection of the premises on your departure. We will only retain the bond if you fail to leave the chalet in good repair and condition and/or an excessive amount of cleaning is required. Please note that you are not required to clean bathrooms and floors as they will be cleaned after you leave.
7. On receipt of the balance and the bond, we will send you directions to the Chalet and let you know who will be meeting you with the key or where the key can be found.
8. The person making the booking and signing the booking form guarantees payment to us for the total cost of the holiday booked and does so on behalf and with consent of the rest of the party.
9. We reserve the right to increase or decrease our prices at any time before your booking is confirmed. The price shown on your confirmation of booking will not be increased unless you amend the booking anyway after it is so confirmed.
Cancellation, non-availability and amendments:
10. You must tell us in writing if you wish to cancel your booking. If you cancel your booking, you will forfeit the deposit and the rental amount if the cancellation is within 6 weeks.
11. If the Chalet is not available, or becomes unavailable, we will notify you and consult with you about alternative dates. If you do not agree to the alternatives suggested by us, we will promptly refund you all money you have paid us in relation to your booking, including the deposit.
12. If you request an amendment to your booking, we will use our best endeavours to provide your requested amendment. If we are able to confirm your requested amendment we may charge an additional amendment fee. We will advise you as soon as practicable of our ability to meet the requested amendment and of any additional charges that are payable by you for the amendment. If the Chalet is not available for the amended booking you will advise us whether you wish to cancel the booking or continue with the original booking. Until the amendment is determined, the original booking continues.
13. All descriptions in this web-site are given in good faith, although we do not guarantee the accuracy of the descriptions at all times or that particular activities in the region will be able to be undertaken as such things are not under our control.
14. You are solely responsible for determining whether the chalet is suitable for your purposes. We are not liable for any inconvenience caused or expense incurred as a result of any unsuitability of the Chalet.
15. You shall use and occupy the chalet at your own risk and indemnify and hold us blameless for all liability in respect of any claim, circumstances or event resulting in damage, loss, cost or injury occurring in connection with the chalet or your use of the Chalet. For instance, we take no responsibility for your personal belongings, money, travellers cheques or passport either inside or outside the Chalet. Nor do we take any responsibility for injuries to guests or damage to equipment and/or third parties howsoever caused.
16. You will be liable for any damage to the Chalet caused by your act, neglect or default, or the act, neglect or default of any person under your control. Your obligations under this paragraph shall not extend or apply to fair wear and tear or damage caused by flood, earthquake, earth subsidence, storm, tempest, act of God or accident unless your act or omission or persons under your control render or cause the accident.
17. In the unlikely event that you should have cause for complaint please inform us immediately. If the problem cannot be resolved you must contact us via either of the e-mail addresses provided in paragraph 1 no later than 21 days from your departure date of the Chalet.
18. If you require a valid full passport to travel to the Chalet, this is your responsibility. If a visa is required, it is your responsibility to obtain one. If you are staying at the Chalet for a week, it will be available from 4 pm on the day of your arrival and you must department on the last day by 10 am unless other arrangements are made.
