In a magnificent setting, Le Grand-Bornand is still the Haute Savoie mountain village it always was, but these days it has everything for your winter holiday. The village provides excellent facilities in a traditional alpine setting. Le Chinaillon is the second village in Le Grand Bornand ski area.
Situated between 1,000 m (3,300 ft) and 2,100 m (6,900 ft), the ski area consists of various linked sectors. There are 39 lifts serving 43 pistes for all levels. At Le Grand-Bornand the skiing is suitable for everyone, and all types of skiing are available : downhill skiing, cross country skiing (56 km / 35 miles of trails), as well as new disciplines. The ski area is well laid out. The beginner slopes are grouped together as is the more difficult terrain. There is a Slalom course, regularly used by the ESF for training and competion.
Le Grand Bornard is approximately 5 minutes drive from the chalet.
