Geneva

Magnificently situated on the banks of the Lake Geneva, the largest lake in central Europe, at the foot of the Jura mountains and at the gates of the Alps, Geneva has all that is needed to charm you. Allow yourself to be tempted. You will not regret it.

The smallest of the big capitals. The town, whose rich past still comes to life today, is a true international capital and can offer visitors a great number of different aspects. These include its humanitarian commitment, its varied cultural activities, its major congresses and exhibitions and its renowned cuisine, beautiful countryside and opportunities for many different excursions.

The beauty of the site, the close proximity a prestigious Alpine region and its privileged location along the main axes of the West, make Geneva naturally one of the largest European centres of tourism.

Yvoire, the flower of Lake Geneva. It is worth seeing, if only for that reason ! But don't miss Yvoire, a small medieval village nestling at the foot of the château which used to protect its fishing port. Today the village has been fully restored, and is beautifully decorated with flowers in the summer. It also has one of the best panoramas over Lake Geneva. In fine weather you can clearly see the Jura massif rising above the far side of the lake ! Why not continue to Evian to visit the factory where the famous mineral water is bottled ? And don’t forget to stop off in Thonon, the neighbouring (and rival) spa town.

Geneva is a 1 hour drive from the chalet.
