Drive from the Geneva
There are a couple of routes to get to the chalet. Below is our usual
route, as it seems to be the fastest. If for any reason this road is closed
the next best option is to take the motorway to Annecy and on reaching
Annecy follow the sign's toward Thones. This road will lead you straight
to St Jean de Sixt but you will be approaching the chalet from the opposite
direction so the small road to the chalet will be on your right.
Leave Geneva Airport
- Follow the green signs to France leading onto the Motorway. (If the
first right turn onto the Motorway is closed for roadwork's, continue
straight until you hit a 3 junction where you follow the right turn
and continue straight ahead for sometime (5 minutes drive) until you
see the next green sign to France
- Continue on the Motorway through tunnels passing through the French
Border
- Follow signs on the Motorway to Turin, Mount Blanc and Chamonix
- Continue to follow signs for approximately 15-20 minutes drive. You
will need 1.50 Euros for the Peage
- After 15-20 minutes drive look out for overhead signs to Bonneville
- You will then see a white sign with 'La Clusaz & Le Grand Bornard'
on the right hand side of the road.
- After these signs take the next exit (i.e. the La Clusaz & Le Grand
Bornard turnoff). You will pass through a Peage and you will need to
pay 5 French Francs
- Immediately after exiting the Peage take the first right turn
- Go straight through the round about
- Approxiamtely 800 meters down the road there is a road to the left,
signposted to La Clusaz & Le Grand Bornard
- Take this road and keep following the road up into the mountains.
Take all turns to La Clusaz and Le Grand Bornard

and Entremont
